Novelties Direct would like a wish Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge a happy 1st Wedding Anniversary. We have been looking back at the Royal Wedding and the fantastic community spirit as well as a look at how they have spent their first married year. There were loads of celebratory Street Parties and Union Jack Flags waved. The public decorated their homes and workplaces with Union Jack Bunting and Party Packs.

We would like to say well done to all the runners who participated in yesterdays London Marathon. It was a great Marathon to watch on a lovely sunny day. There were many people running in Fancy Dress Costumes which added to the atmosphere and there were also lots of Celebrities running. Please tell us if you ran in the Marathon yesterday and how you are feeling today.

With St. Georges Day so close we have been looking at a couple of events that are being put on in London that sound great family fun. Many Pubs and Restaurants will be Decorated with Party Packs, Balloons and Flags and to get into the atmosphere of the day it is fun to wear St. George's Party Hats, Masks and Headboppers. We would love to know which St. George's Day Celebrations you will be attending. 

With 100 days to go until the Olympic Games and the slogan 'Inspire A Generation' announced we have been looking at different ways that the public are getting involved in various aspects of the Games. These include Volunteers, Torch Bearers and Spectators getting into the atmosphere with Hats, Flags and  Novelty Accessories such as Sunglasses. We would love to know if you are taking part in any of these activities.

We are looking forward to a nice long weekend this weekend as it is Easter Weekend. We would love to know how you will be spending this weekend as it is a lovely time to enjoy with family and friends having Easter Decorations up and arranging get-togethers.. We have been finding out about some Easter Traditions and where the words Easter and Good Friday originate and of course thinking about those yummy Easter Eggs.

As we come to the end of March we are looking forward to St. George's Day on 23rd April. We have looked at some of the history of St. George, Englands Patron Saint and how people celebrate. This is with St. George's Flags, St. George's Decorations, St. George's Hats and England Fancy Dress Costumes and Accessories. We would love to know where you will be on St. George's Day and how you will be celebrating.

We have been remembering out Teen Idols today and the posters on our bedroom walls. This conversation has sparked from seeing a photograph this week of One Direction having fun wearing Fancy Dress Accessories and spraying each other with Silly String. We would love to know who your Pin Up Teen Idol was and what posters were on your bedroom walls.

Monday 12th March is Commonwealth Day. There are 54 independent countries which form The Commonwealth. The Queen is Head of The Commonwealth and attends a service every year at Westminster Abbey and delivers a speech. Will you be flying The Flag for The Commonwealth? Please tell us if you celebrate Commonwealth Day and what it means to you.

Last week we had a Delivery of some new Celebrity Face Masks which include The Queen and Prince Philip. This has brought about an interesting conversation in the office about who we would invite to a Fantasy Dinner Party. There are many qualities that were considered including intelligence and humour. We picked a Celebrity Guest List of 10 among which are Robbie Williams, David Beckham and Lady Gaga. We would love to know who you would invite to a Celebrity Fantasy Dinner Party and what you think makes the perfect Dinner Party.

As tomorrow is the 29th February and a Leap Year we have been looking at the tradition of women Proposing Marriage to men on this day and how you can make this a very special and romantic time. Preparing a dinner with Candles, Balloons and Decorations is always the perfect way to start the evening.
