April 23rd is St. George's Day so we have been looking at some of the history of this day and ways to celebrate. Whether you are going to  a Parade wearing a St. George's Hat or Wig or having a meal out with friends in a restaurant or pub decorated with St. George's Bunting there is something for everyone to enjoy. We would love to know how you will be celebrating St. George's Day and if you will be Dressed Up or using Red, White and Blue Facepaint to decorate yourself.

I went to see the show Rock Of Ages last week which was a real trip down memory lane. It is set in the 80's and is full of great Costmes,  Rock Music and laughs. It left you feeling you wanted to get home and get out your Inflatable Guitar and Microphone and sing in front of the mirror. We would love to know if you have seen the show and what you thought.

St. Patrick's Day is this Sunday 17th March and we would like to wish you all a very Happy St. Patrick's Day. We hope that you are organised with your St. Patrick's Decorations, Flags and Banners. we would love to know how your plans are going and how you are going to be celebrating on Sunday.

Following Justin Beibers late arrival for his concert on Monday night we have been thinking about great concerts that we have been to such as Elton John and Robbie Williams. We would love to know if you or your children were at the Justin Beiber concert singing along and  waving cutouts of him and if you have any concert stories.

World Book Day on 7th March has always been a favourite day in my house. As well as loving Books my children loved Dressing Up as their favourite Book Characters such as Oliver, The Little Mermaid and Robin Hood and then getting their book vouchers to spend. Storytelling wokshops at the library is also a great way to enjoy books. We would love to know if your children are wearing Fancy Dress Costumes at school.

The Oscars are taking place this Sunday 24th February and among the fascination to see Celebrities and what they are wearing Awards are given out to celebrate the best films of the past year. Bringing the glamour of this event to your home is easy with Oscar & Hollywood Decorations and Balloons. Please tell us who you think will be this years big winners.

St. Patricks Day is March 17th and we have been looking at some of the history of St. Patrick's Day and ways to celebrate. There are parades with people dressed in Costumes such as a Leprachaun and pubs and restaurants are decorated with Irish Bunting and Flags, Cutouts of Shamrocks and Green Hanging Swirls. St. Patrick's Day Hats are always a good choice to wear for a lot of fun. We would love to know your party ideas and how you will be spending St. Patrick's Day.

The celebrations for Chinese New Year have started and 2013 is The Year Of The Snake. We have been looking at the various celebrations for the biggest holiday in the Chinese Calender. These incude putting up Chinese Decorations such as Door Panels and Cutouts, a Lantern Festival, Colourful Dance Parades and a market selling Decorations, Oriental Fans and Clothing. We would love to know what you will be doing over the next two weeks if you are celebrating Chinese New Year.

Today we are thinking about different ideas for Valentine's Day which is next week, 14th February. It is the time to express your love to that special person with Heart Shaped Balloons, Heart Decorations and Valentines Banners. It is customary to send cards, chocolates and flowers anonymously and to enjoy a romantic meal together. Will you be going to restaurant where there are are Valentines Decorations or have you got something else planned to surprise your loved one?

January 26th is Australia Day which is a public holiday in Australia where Australians celebrate Australia and its traditions. This is also commemorated outside of Australia with parties waving Australian Flags and putting up Australian Bunting and Australian Themed Decorations such as Kangaroo Cutouts. We are looking at some of the history and the festivities taking place creating the perfect Australian Atmosphere and we would love to know how you are spending the day.
