It will soon be the start of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament which takes place from June23rd - July 6th. This is the perfect competition to enjoy all things British and the traditions of Strawberries and Cream and get togethers with friends to enjoy matches. Tennis themed parties are of course popular at ths time of year using British Decorations and Disposable Tableware and Balloons. The World Cup 2014 will begin on June 12th culminating in the final on 13th July. This is a great time for friends to get - together and enjoy the atmosphere and tensions of this tournament. To achieve the feel of being at a match people host parties putting up World Cup Decorations as well as World Cup Flags and Bunting. There are also pubs, bars and restaurants that show the games and use World Cup Novelties and Country Hats and Masks to encourage the cheering and fun. Armed Forces Day is on 28th June and there are many events taking place to honour and support the Armed Forces as well as to raise awareness of the contribution they make to the country. There is the national event taking place in Streling and across the country their will be themed Armed Forces Day Parties such as street parties, picnics and barbeques. The public hang Union Jack Flags from their homes and put up Bunting in recognition of this day. Please let us know if you are attending or putting on an event this year.

It will soon be Childrens Book Week which takes place in the summer term. This helps to promote the love of books and reading for children. Many activities take place during Book Week, a favourite being dressing up as book characters. There are many Book Week Fancy Dress Costumes to choose from as well as accessories to add to Book Week Outfits. We would love to know which book character is your childs favourite.

Italy's Liberation Day is on April 25th and is a national holiday in Italy.  Italian Restaurants will be using Italian Bunting and Flags for decorations and there will be many Italian themed parties taking place. With the World Cup also so close it is a good opportunity to get good use from all the Italian themed products. Please let us know if you are celebrating Italy's Liberation Day.

We have been looking at different  fancy dress ideas and how much fun they create. Whether you are looking for a fancy dress costume for a themed party or to wear for a sporting event we have loads of choice which also includes childrens fancy dress. I love going to a fancy dress party and hosted a back to school party a while ago which was good fun. We would love to know about the last time you wore fancy dress and what the ocassion was.

St. George's Day is on the 23rd April and celebrates all things England as well as commemorating St. George. We have been looking at the some of the history of St. George's Day as well as how to enjoy a St. George's Day Party with Red & White Balloons and St. George's Day Decorations. Sport Relief weekend takes place 21st - 23rd March although many events have already started. This is the ideal time to get together with friends and family to watch the proceedings and raise money. It is great fun to join sports personalities and Celebrities and put up Sports Themed Decorations as well as wearing Sports Masks and having Sports Personality Cardboard Cutouts. St. Patrick's Day is on the 17th March and celebrates the Patron Saint of Ireland. There are many parades and parties to celebrate this day both in pubs and bars and people's homes. St. Patrick's Day Banners and Shamrock Cutouts are put up as well as Green Balloons and Irish Flags. St. Patrick's Day Hats and Fancy Dress Costumes are also worn. It will soon be Valentine's Day. February 14th will be that special day to enjoy a romantic time with your loved one. We have talking about some of the traditions and customs surrounding St. Valentines Day and how to celebrate it.
