February 26th is The Oscars and a night I always look forward as I love going to the Cinema. My favourite film that I have seen recently is The Artist and would love to know if you have seen it and what you thought or what your favourite film has been. The Oscars are always fun to enjoy with your friends especially if you have an Oscar Themed Night giving out Awards and putting up Decorations. Please let us know if you will be having an Oscar Themed Party.

We are now preparing for St. Patricks Day which is a traditional day in Ireland and linked to everything Irish. Businesses are closed with the exception of pubs and restaurants which are Decorated often using Decoration Packs and Balloons and many people go to celebrate Dressing Up in Hats and Wigs. We would love to know how you will be celebrating St. Patricks Day on 17th March.

We are looking forward to the Diamond Jubilee Concert which was announced this week by Gary Barlow and will take place on 4th June outside Buckingham Palace. Flags will be flying and there is to be a great line of stars to include music from from each decade of the Queens Reign. Thousands of tickets are to be given away by ballot and the concert will also be televised. This will be a great ocassion and we would love to know if you are applying for tickets or if you will be watching at home with friends.

Today I am starting to think about Valentines Day and how it is only two weeks away. We have been chatting in the office about our Valentines Day Surprises and the Romantic Gestures we have received. These include being sent Flowers, Balloons and having Romantic Meals both at home and in restaurants complete with Valentines Candles and Decorations. We would love to know if Valentines Day is special to you and what your biggest surprises have been.

Today I am talking about The Diamond Jubilee and how it seems that Street Parties and Events are being organised earlier than they were for The Royal Wedding. Realising how much enjoyment came from the festivities of The Royal Wedding people want to get involved and do it all over again by planning get- togethers and Union Jack Themed Parties. Please let me know if you will be having a Street Party or if you are involved in arranging any Special Events.

Today I am talking about how many schools are next week acknowledging Book Week by giving children the chance to browse through and buy books and many are able to Dress Up as their favourite Book Character such as Postman Pat, Robin Hood or Snow White. I think that this is such a great way to encourage a love of books and we would love to know if your children are Dressing Up and if you are a book worm, if you have any recommendations please share them with us.

Australia Day is soon approaching and is on the 26th January. We have been looking at a bit of the history of Australia Day and how it is celebrated both in Australia with picnics, barbeques and firework displays and Overseas in pubs, bars and with black tie dinners. These events are decorated with Flags, Bunting and various Cutouts. Please let us know if you are celebrating Australia Day and what festivities you will be taking part in.

Today we would like to wish a Happy New Year to everybody celebrating Chinese New Year on January 23rd. This year is the Year of the Dragon and 15 days of festivities will be taking place in homes starting with a day spent with family and finishing with a New Year Parade. We would love to hear how you will be celebrating this year and whether you are going to be attending a Parade.

Today we would like to wish Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy 30th birthaday. We have been talking about whether her celebrations will include Decorations and Balloons and wondering whether she will be celebrating with Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Charles, Camilla and The Queen. We would also love to know your Party Ideas and whether you are planning a big Birthday Bash or have recently celebrated a special Birthday.

Having braved the weather to go back to work after the Christmas and New Year festivities it is now time to look forward to the great Summer Events (and some sunshine). These include The European Championships, The Queens Diamond Jubilee and The Olympics and are all good reasons for Get-Togethers and Barbeques.
