These Games were supposed to be held in Italy but due to the eruption of Vesuvius they had to pull out. Britain then only had ten months to organize the Event which was held at White City. There have been many changes in the last 100 years but some things including the Rain have stayed the same. The first year to have an Opening Ceremony was 1908 but there was no Olympic Torch which started taking place in 1928.
