Synopsis:
This years Sports Personality Of The Year is being held at The Excel Centre live on Sunday night. After an exciting Summer of Sport this is the biggest Sports Personality and will no doubt see an Olympian Athelete winning the title. There are twelve contenders and the winner will be decided on the night by a public vote. We would love to know who you think will win and who you would like to win, whether it is Bradley Wiggins, Mo Farah or David Weir. Please tell us if you will be watching with friends and wearing Sports Facemasks to support your winner.
This Sunday 16th December is the biggest Sports Personality Of The Year yet where it is live coming from The Excel Centre. Hosted by Gary Linekar, Clare Balding and Sue Barker this will be the culmination of what was an amazing year of sport. Olympic and Paralympic Athletes are contenders for 2012 Sports Personality. These include Bradley Wiggins who won the Tour De France and Gold, Sir Chris Hoy, Andy Murray, Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah as well as Ellie Simmonds and David Weir who won four titles. The nominees were decided by a panel and the Winner will be determined on the night by a public vote. Victoria Pendleton and Tom Daley although having done so well were not selected as one of the twelve candidates. I usually get together with friends to watch this annual event while constantly guessing the winner though this year will be a hard one to call.
